An assessment of factors underlying adaptive behavior in adolescents at private schools in Omdurman locality
Abstract
This research aimed at assessing factors affecting the level of adaptive behavior among adolescents at private secondary schools in Omdurman locality. To achieve that aim, the descriptive qualitative approach was adopted, the sample consisted of (100) males were selected purposively from private secondary schools at El fatehab area. The instrument was a questionnaire measuring adaptive behavior designed by the researcher, and it was both reliable and valid. Statistical tests from (SPSS) were accordingly employed such as: one-sample t-test, qui-square, and Alpha Cronbach formula. The results yielded that adolescents at private secondary schools in Omdurman were characterized with high level of adaptive behavior, in addition to there was significant relationship found between stable home and adaptive behavior of adolescents. These results were discussed, and this research was concluded by recommendations and suggestions for further studies.
