The COVID-19 pandemic forced organizations across diverse industries to redraw their business models globally. Businesses crumbled, downsized, laid off workers, streamlined and digitalized their workflow, and maintained skeletal staff to support integral business functions. Remote working and flexible schedules were institutionalized to manage service employees globally. The study compared the effects of work -life balance and employee remuneration on employee job satisfaction and loyalty intentions. The study targeted frontline staff at three public universities in Zimbabwe, and 327 valid responses were obtained. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) revealed that employee remuneration, remote working, and flexible scheduling positively and significantly influenced employee job satisfaction. Further, the analysis indicated employee preference for remote working and flexible work scheduling over more pay and benefits. The positive impact of job satisfaction on employee loyalty intentions was also confirmed. This study flags the significant contribution of work -life balance by bringing new empirical evidence on the relative significance of remote working, flexible working arrangements, and employee remuneration on employee job satisfaction and loyalty intentions in the post -pandemic normal. The study recommends that universities should harness digital technologies to promote sustainable remote working and enhanced employee autonomy.
Evaluating the predictors of mobile health acceptance among Zimbabwean university students during the COVID-19 era: an integrated framework

The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or popularly the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic brought significant public health challenges globally. During the crisis, mobile health (m-health) services were implemented to expedite fast, convenient and reliable dissemination of health information to the public. Meanwhile, the adoption of m-health faced high uncertainty alike other COVID-19 regulatory methods. This study examines the antecedents of m-health acceptance among Zimbabwean university students. Whilst research on m-health adoption during the pandemic is still scarce, this study becomes the first to integrate the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict m-health adoption in a developing country. An explanatory design and a quantitative research approach were employed. Based on 271 valid responses, Structural Equation Modelling was used to estimate the proposed model. The findings revealed the positive effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, attitudes, behavioral norms, perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention to adopt m-health with a higher R square value (80.4%) than the original UTAUT model. The study also confirmed the positive influence of behavioral intention on m-health usage (R square = 41.5%). Health promoters were urged to design messages that stimulate positive attitudes, appeal to social groupings and improve user's self-efficacy. M-health services should also foster use simplicity, ease of use and health value to entice m-health adoption among consumers. The study also provides an important baseline for the integration of behavioral theoretical models to enhance their predictive strength.
Evaluating the impact of quality antecedents on university students' e-learning continuance intentions: A post COVID-19 perspective

The COVID-19 pandemic forced service providers to resort to online servicescapes across diverse industries globally. However, with the epidemic curve flattening in most parts of the world and the pandemic showing indications to phasing out, educational institutions are now operating on the continuum between blended e-learning and full-scale e-learning services. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of e-learning quality antecedents on university students' e-learning continuance intentions in Zimbabwe post the COVID-19 pandemic. The study adopted a causal research design within the positivism research paradigm. The study population were undergraduate students using e-learning at three universities in Zimbabwe. A random sampling procedure was employed to collect data. A quantitative approach validated 311 responses using covariance-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in SPSS AMOS. The study revealed positive and statistically significant relationships between three quality factors (system quality, instructor quality and information quality) and students' e-learning continuance intentions (p < 0.001). However, the impact of support service quality on e-learning continuance intentions was not statistically significant. The paper flags the key roles of instructor quality, information quality and system quality as key determinants of students' willingness to continue using e-learning systems in a post COVID-19 era. Universities were urged to design e-learning systems that engulf state of the art communication technology attributes to ensure robustness, flexibility, speed, security, visual appeal, compatibility, availability and user-friendliness. The study also recommends periodical reviews to motivation, resourcing, training and development strategies for e-learning instructors to enhance their delivery during e-learning service encounters.
